The Country Early Edition: Head of Fonterra for Bay of Plenty, Lisa Payne catches up with Dom George to let us know what's happening in the region.

Head of Fonterra Bay of Plenty Lisa Payne says conditions in the region have been extremely dry lately. Luckily she's had a bit of rain and it's "not just a drizzle" in fact, she can see some puddles!

Payne has been meeting with farmers focusing on their Palm Kernel Extract (PKE) trial results and the effect it is having on milk.

The Milk for Schools initiative is going really well with the general public and Lisa says it's great to see Fonterra's farmers involved and that they should be very proud of what they've achieved.
