Tony Leggett catches up with Jamie Mackay on The Country for an update on the big rural stories in the New Zealand Farmers Weekly.

Leggett doesn't know what has happened to those 500 missing cows and joins in on the speculation on where they could be and what may have taken place.

The Waikato Regional Council has an 80 year goal to make the Waikato and Waipa rivers fit for swimming. Leggett comments on how this is a very long time but it's also an indication of how polluted they have become.

Finally Jamie thinks there's a farmers vs. townies divide regarding the waterways. What is Tony Leggett's take on this?
