The Country: Everyone needs a Plan B, especially in farming where things don’t always go to schedule.

Everyone needs a Plan B, especially in farming where things don't always go to schedule.

This time on Grassmanship, Nufarm new grass specialist Chris Brenan has some helpful suggestions for how to keep weeds out of your newly sown pasture if you miss the window for early spraying.

As Jamie Mackay points out, this can and does often happen, for a range of reasons.
The good news? Even though the weeds are bigger, and you have to wait until the pasture has had its first full grazing, all is not lost.

Chris goes through proven options that are suitable at this timing, plus how best to protect your clover. Got chicory in the mix as well as grass and clover? He has answers for that, too.
