Three women are among the 12 finalists in the dairy industry's annual competition for farm managers.
"Women aren't just running our country, they're also running our farms - and doing better than many men," said the contest's national convener, Chris Keeping.
The Farm Manager of theYear award will be announced in Christchurch on May 24.
"We think it is an absolute coup and it has really spiced up the competition," said Ms Keeping.
