David Williams
Multimedia Journalist

David Williams is an Auckland-based Multimedia Journalist.

David joined the Herald in 2023 having previously worked at Newstalk ZB. He was born in the United Kingdom but grew up in Auckland. In 2022, he completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Communication Studies, majoring in journalism, from Auckland University of Technology. David covers breaking news and topics such as New Zealanders on the ground in Ukraine to Kiwis caught in the New Caledonia riots, October 7 and the Taiwan earthquake.
