Police are reviewing CCTV footage from Ngongotaha yesterday to track down a man wanted for questioning following an aggravated robbery.

A man entered Coin Save on Ngongotaha Rd around 12pm and demanded cash from the shop attendant. He had a weapon.

Rotorua police Inspector Ed Van Den Broek
said money was handed over and the man left the shop, running down Ngongotaha Rd towards Rotorua.

``No one was injured during the robbery,'' he said.

``We want to hear from anyone who saw the person leave the store or anyone else who has any information about this to call police or Crimestoppers.''

He said police are still to get a description of the man from the shop attendant, but they are reviewing closed circuit

television footage from street cameras.

Way Home Liquor Centre, a nearby store, staff member Herjinder Singh said he did not hear the incident but walked outside his store about 1pm to find seven or eight police officers.

"I asked the police what had happened and they said someone had been robbed during the lunch time."

A Village Sports Bar staff member, who did not want to be named, said she arrived at work after the incident had taken place.

She said members of the public had come in to the bar and told her there had been a robbery at the Coin Save.

"I didn't see anything, I just saw police around the area."
