Come all ye faithful, the races are on this Sunday and it's themed around mid-winter Christmas. The reindeer have galloped to the post, dropped Santa off for the kids, and there will also be face painters and a bouncy castle to keep them occupied.
Marketing sponsorship and events manager for Trac Racing Rotorua Don Patterson said he's expecting a great day.
"There will be music, Christmas-themed food, and it's one of the rare occasions we have jumps racing instead of just all flat races, which is exciting to watch.
"It's an opportunity to get out and do something different on a Sunday - it's quite rare we have a Sunday race meeting in Rotorua, so it's a chance for the whole family to get out together.
"The first race is midday and admission is free. Given that the All Blacks play South Africa that morning, they can come to the races after the rugby."
