Man with a superficial wound to the head in Rimu Place was taken to Bay of Islands Hospital.

A man was taken to hospital with a minor head wound and two others were arrested for obstruction following an incident in Kaikohe this morning.

Dylan Robinson, Acting Senior Sergeant at Kaikohe police, said officers were called out at 4am today after reports of disorder at a house on Rimu Place.

A man with a superficial wound to the head was taken to Bay of Islands Hospital in Kawakawa.

No complaint was forthcoming from anyone at the address and no weapon was found, despite initial reports of a knife or a spade being used.

However, while police were dealing with the incident two other men interjected and were arrested for obstructing police.
