Table tennis is a new sport for the community of Patea and already Patea Pride has competitors lining up for Sunday's King of the Hill tournament.
The tournament will be held in the Patea Area School gymnasium.
Doors open for registration at 8.30am.
Former Pride secretary Luana Rio said the games will begin at 9.30am.
Mrs Rio said other clubs have expressed an interest in holding food stalls during the event.
"This is mainly for a whanau fun day out and to promote the sport which is not usually available competitively in Patea."
Mrs Rio said the junior players will be competing for medals and prizes while those over 13 will receive a trophy or a certificate.
