Motorists travelling on the northern and southern stretches of SH2 as well as SH50 and SH38 can expect to encounter delays as crews continue to clear slips in the wake of recent heavy rain across the region.

As well as removing fallen debris workers are also clearing roadside drains in some areas.
Contractors are at sites between Bay View and Wairoa on the northern stretch of SH2 and temporary speed restrictions and stop/go signalling is in place.

Similar traffic controls are operating on SH2 near Paki Paki where a slip was reported.

On SH50 crews are also dealing with a slip at Kereru and in northern Hawke's Bay workers are removing slips from a stretch of SH38 between Aniwaniwa and Frasertown.

Delays in travel of up to five minutes can be expected.

Motorists are also advised to expect temporary speed limits and stop/go signalling at certain times between Maraekakaho Rd and Kereru Rd on SH50 while powerpole replacements are being installed.

Speed restrictions are in place at Creek Rd near Gwavas Station on the same stretch where a stock underpass is being built.

While travel delays are described as "negligible" around the Watchman Rd/Expressway intersection and the Whakatu Arterial Roundabout project on SH2, motorists are advised to observe the temporary speed restrictions in place.
