The hunt is on to find a fitting logo to rebrand Central Hawke's Bay as Lamb Country in time for the Rugby World Cup tournament in September.
CHB received $92,000 in Lotteries funding to create a Lamb Festival that will draw visitors to the region and give them a real
New Zealand experience.
A nationwide competition is now being held to design a logo that best represents CHB Lamb Country.
"We want something that is synonymous with the region , so it represents it maybe through colour, something that's classic or traditionalist in design," marketing and communications tourism manager Christine Shanahan said. "We just want people to describe what they think represents the region."
The challenge is to create a logo, which can be text, image, graphic or a combination, including the words Lamb Country, Central Hawkes Bay, and New Zealand. The design must be able to translate easily into black and white. All entries should be sent to info@chb.co.nz with the subject line: logo competition and your name by 5pm on March 16.
