A man has spent a night on Mt Ngauruhoe after becoming disoriented and losing his way.
The Taupo-based Greenlea Rescue helicopter was dispatched by police after the man called them this morning.
Despite only 5% of his phone battery remaining he was able to get mobile phone coverage this morning
