The father of two adult children, Mr Tibble said he wanted to be an advocate for Rotorua's culture of arts, theatre and film, to show a greater appreciation of the role of senior citizens, drive economic growth and prosperity and keep the council's management groups honest.
He said he would make Rotorua a better place to live by supporting policies that encourage Rotorua residents to build a stronger sense of community.
"It's people that make Rotorua great and people that will make Rotorua greater." In the coming weeks, the Rotorua Daily Post will continue its election coverage and publish profiles of all candidates closer to the election.
