A person had died in an Ohakune crash. File photo / Bevan Conley

A person has died after a truck rolled near Ohakune early on Wednesday afternoon.

The single-vehicle crash happened about 12.30pm on Tohunga Rd/State Highway 49, just outside Ohakune township, between Mangarewa and Old Station Rds.

The road was reopened by 5.45pm with stop/go measures in place.

Inquiries into the circumstances of the crash are under way.
