A popular and unique event from last year's Vintage Weekend will be back again this Saturday.

The Boundless Banquet is a three-course meal set on Victoria Ave, and this year organisers have increased capacity to 100 diners, up from 80 last year, along with the introduction of a new theme and menu.

Diners are encouraged to dress according to theme and wear their best dresses, slacks and plimsolls in a 1950s Rockabilly theme. Spice Guru will produce an Indian vegetarian starter and La Strada will create an Italian limoncello-inspired dessert.

Element Restaurant will again be handling the main course with a lamb and vegetarian option available while Jolt Caf will take care of after dinner coffee. The starter and main course are wine matched.

The four eateries organising this year's dinner are keen to work together more regularly and have labelled themselves "The Bridge Block Collective" and are hoping to produce other unique meals this year.

"The Boundless Banquet is unique, no other town has a hot meal served to so many at once and by so many different eateries, it is a triumph of co-ordination and skill and a snip at just $80 per ticket. Similar events in other towns cost hundreds,' Mainstreet marketing manager Elise Goodge said.

Tickets to the Boundless Banquet are available now from Spice Guru, La Strada, Jolt Caf and Element Restaurant. -Tickets are $80 per person. Vegetarians please order this option prior to the event.
