Let's get ready to rumble - that's the cry as 26 fighters glove up for this year's Christmas with a Punch Corporate Fight Night.
It's the third year of this successful event to be held at the Rotorua Girls' High School Arena on December 10 and the card is confirmed.
People from all walks of life will take part in the event, organised by Rotovegas Boxing Gym to help raise funds for boxing equipment for its programmes, which are run around the region.
This year sees a mixture of new fighters and for the first time a rematch between Paora Te Hurihanganui and Bob Stiles.
Gavin Porima also makes a return from last year's event to take on first-time fighter Rob Komene.
Also on the card are some talented boxers of the female persuasion, with The Daily Post reporter Kristin Macfarlane looking to take on Indi Boyle, florists Charis Yule and Katie McLaughlin going toe to toe, lawyer Samantha Sandford going up against body builder Rose Aoake and Crystal Marsters versus Katrina Heywood.
National MPs Todd McClay and Simon Bridges have again put up for grabs the National Boxing Trophy which will be contested between Tauranga fighter Aaron Wong Sang and Rotorua fighter Spence McClintock.
The event will also be used to help raise money for the Rena incident off the coast of Tauranga.
Another highlight will be the clash of the codes with a match-up between Bay of Plenty Steamers centurion Ron Preston and league identity Glenn Donaldson.
Then there will be the clash of the giants with Joel Beazley and Andrew Jenson - both men tower around the 2m mark and are quick fighters both with powerful right hands.
Rotovegas Boxing Gym head coach Aaron Warren told The Daily Post this year's event had some great match-ups which will keep fight fans entertained for the entire night.
Doors open for the event at 5.30pm with the fights getting under way about 6.30pm.
Ringside corporate tables, which seat 10, will cost $2000, and fight-night experience tables $1500. That includes food and beverage.
