Auckland driver Ryan Grant has taken the latest round of the Pro Kart series held in Rotorua.

Grant narrowly won by just 0.232 of a second to his long-time rival Daniel Bray. The pair were competing at the Mi Sedaap instant noodles Pro Kart series held on the Kartsport Rotorua track in Mamaku at the weekend.

Grant, who also won the opening round of the series in Wellington last month, qualified quickest for the final but didn't have it all his own way with Bray taking line honours in the first race of the two-day event. But Grant managed to take the other three preliminary races with Bray taking second.

Third for the heats and semis was shared by three drivers - Matthew Hamilton (first heat and semifinal), Mathew Kinsman (second heat, semifinal and final) and Graeme Smyth (third heat).

In the KZ2 Masters class, Hawkes Bay driver Tom Curran managed to dominate winning the heats, semis and finals ahead of Auckland's Steve Brown and Mark Lan.
