We asked Rotorua residents what they thought of an artist's impression of the Rotorua Lakefront development.

I would like to see a cafe and restaurant, and maybe a bar. I like the boardwalk, that looks good.

I think that's a great idea and it will be good for Rotorua. The walkways would be really good. It's nice to capture Rotorua in that way.

I think it's really good. A proper Lakefront development is well overdue to drive the city as a tourism destination. It will market us well.

I think that what ever money is used can be utilised elsewhere. First off on revitalising the CBD itself. There are a lot of empty shops. It can be utilised more appropriately elsewhere in the city.
