Update: Logging truck spill damages bridge

A logging truck has shed its load, damaging a bridge on State Highway 28 between Putaruru and Tapapa.

A police central communications spokesman said some logs had spilled onto the road, damaging a bridge.

He said nobody was injured in the incident.

An NZTA spokeswoman said the incident had caused one lane to close and motorists should expect delays in both directions.
