An Irish rugby jersey, signed by the team that beat Australia a week ago, is up for auction in Rotorua this week.
Irish Honorary Consul General Rodney Walshe arranged for the team to sign the jersey to auction off for a local charity to say thank you to Rotorua forgetting behind the Ireland Supporters' Campaign in the lead-up to tomorrow's match against Russia.
It features the signatures of players such as Brian O'Driscoll, Rory Best and Paul O'Connell and will be auctioned at the Distinction Hotel's D-Bar at 3.30pm tomorrow as part of happy hour celebrations before the walking bus takes fans down to the match at the Rotorua International Stadium.
The Ireland Supporters' Campaign has been co-ordinated locally by Stay and Play.
Kay Clarke, of Rotorua, said the proceeds of the jersey auction would go to the Rotorua Community Hospice.
