She said it had exceeded expectations and they had more people come through than they originally hoped for.
A highlight had been the number of people who came from out of town specifically for the show, she said.
The show included about five quilts for sale and charity quilts the Rotorua Rainbow Quilters made for donations.
It also included a travelling quilt exhibition - the Aotearoa Flight Challenge.
Every year the Aotearoa Quilters have a challenge and people from all over New Zealand enter.
There was homemade baking available and the show was run by volunteers from Rainbow Quilters.
Rotorua's Ma Cassidy said her best friend did quilting at home and mentioned there was a show, so she had been interested to see how other quilts were made.
"It's quite neat how they put different textures and designs together to make a quilt."
She said it was neat they could do it all and it would be interesting to see how long it took to make a quilt.
Daphne Green, from the Whakatane business Pins to Patches, said the show was excellent and there had been lots of people coming from out of town.
She had attended the show for quite a few years and it was always worth coming.
"It's a great show. The ladies do lots of work and it's a credit to them."
