A Rotorua adult shop was robbed by a man with a weapon this afternoon.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the aggravated robbery which happened about 2.50pm when a man entered the Wild Things adult shop on Pukuatua Street. He left with a yet to be determined sum of cash.

Police want to hear from anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area between 2.30pm and 3pm. The offender is described as a male Maori, possibly in his 40s, stocky and wearing dark clothing including a hooded sweatshirt.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Rotorua police on 07 348 0099. Information can also be provided anonymously to the organisation Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
