Making a big impression

Visitors coming in to Rotorua will now get an extra warm welcome.
Special billboards promoting the Rugby World Cup have been put up on the major roads leading in to Rotorua.
Rotorua District Council Rugby World Cup co-ordinator Renee Nathan said the billboards were to give visitors an extra warm welcome as they came in to the city.
Three billboards have been put up at entrances to the city, with one on State Highway 5 from Hamilton, one on SH5 from Taupo and one on SH30 near the airport.
Mrs Nathan said flags with Kia Ora - Welcome to Rotorua on them would also be placed around the city.
She said Rotorua residents should be proud the city was able to host games. "It is going to be a great event and we want to promote that within Rotorua."
"It is all part of setting the scene and making people feel welcome."
Mrs Nathan said excitement to the World Cup was building. "It will be such an awesome event."
