The Castle Hill RSL Youth Wind Orchestra from Australia is visiting Rotorua and putting on a free concert at the Sir Howard Morrison Performing Arts Centre next week.
The orchestra has a proud tradition of being regarded as one of Australia's finest symphonic wind bands. Established in 1996, and formerly
known as the City of Sydney Youth Band, this 65-75 piece community wind orchestra provides young musicians with outstanding opportunities to perform quality and diverse wind band repertoire.
Members range in age from as young as 11 through to 19 years of age.
The band won the Australian national title this year and represents the Australian Returned Services League.
The Castle Hill RSL Youth Wind Orchestra perform regularly in feature concerts, community events, and premier marching engagements.
