Nothing says summer like the ocean and if you can't get to it, the next best thing is to enjoy the taste of paua, kina, mussels and much more at the second annual Rotorua Seafood Festival.
The city is at capacity in terms of visitor numbers, according to festival organiser Tia Smith, who believes the event on Sunday will be about sharing the best we have to offer with visitors.
"It's about sharing our food, culture and community. It gives visitors and locals the chance to get together in a relaxed atmosphere while also showcasing local talent," she said.
Last year was the first time for the festival, and this year, while the number of food stalls is about the same, organisers are providing more shade, couches and blankets for festival-goers.
They have also put more emphasis on entertainment with Kiwi music legend Dave Dobbyn headlining.
