History fans and the Rotorua Hospice will benefit from the Quality Antique Fair this weekend. The three-day event is hosted twice a year by the Antique Fair Charitable Trust and will start on Saturday at the Rotorua Convention Centre.
McCartney's Art and Antique store owner John McCartney has participated in thefair for a number of years.
"There is a wide range of antiques for purchase and it is a good place to be if you are interested in collection's of old things," he said.
"We normally host about 1500 people over the three days, it should be a good weekend."
Trust representative Diane Akers said there would be 12-14 dealers showing their collections of china, jewellery, collectibles and furniture.
"This is a great chance for dealers to show their antiques to the wider public."
Ms Akers said antique fairs were held twice a year in Rotorua on Easter and Labour weekend. The trust travels throughout the country during the year hosting the fairs.
The fair is open Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 10am. Admission is $5 and will be donated to the Rotorua Hospice.
