Whangārei District Council is working to fix a traffic-light fault at the Te Kamo and State Highway 1 intersection.
The fault caused heavy traffic through Te Kamo and Whau Valley this morning.
A council spokeswoman said the problem was caused by a digital communications failure.
“The intersection will
give priority to the state highway and people will experience [queues] on Kamo Road and Whau Valley.”
“The fault is not an easy fix we are hoping to have it resolved later today.”
