CIVIL PROJECTS SUPERVISOR (HANDS- ON) with Estimating/pricing experience

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced "hands-on" Site Supervisor with estimating/pricing experience who will be committed to our values and standards to fill a key role in our team.

You may not have a formal industry qualification (although this would be an advantage) but extensive practical experience in civil site management from start to finish is essential.

Proven practical experience in set-out, concrete work, sealing and metal preparation and/or other key aspects of civil contracting to a high standard is crucial but a positive can-do attitude is equally important.

Key responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to;
• Supervision of projects and on-site staff, actively working on-site as part of the team when required.
• Building and maintaining excellent client, staff and supplier relationships
• Producing accurate pricing for projects including methodology
• Planning, coordinating and managing resources and subcontractors on-sites

You will also be able to demonstrate;
• Excellent numeracy and literacy
• Strong relationship management skills and communication skills
• Ability to read, understand and price from plans and specifications and apply practical methodology
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to handle pressure and deadlines
• Ability to plan and think ahead.
• A good practical understanding of Health & Safety in the workplace and preferably NZ3910.
• Ability and attitude to be a team player and be a great fit for our team.

This is a varied and interesting role with scope to develop further and you would be working for a well-established, locally owned business with high standards and a great team of friendly people.

Competitive remuneration will be relevant to the level of experience and ability.
