The 13th annual Pointed Inc Deco City Cats all breeds show, held in Napier on Saturday, was a great success, with plenty of spectators and entries from around the country.

The show was set up at Rodney Green Centennial Events Centre and drew 130 cats of all breeds, including a section for the much-loved domestic moggy.

"You get to see all different types of cat - long hair, short hair, some with no hair," show manager Dennis Humphreys said. "People came from Queenstown, Auckland, Wellington - the whole North Island really. We had a lot of public in attendance as well."

Guest judges Luiz Paulo Facciolo from Brazil and Kim Tomlin from America said the overall quality of entries was high and they were, "over the moon," with their stay in Hawke's Bay.

"They loved it, they really enjoyed Napier and walking along the pathways."

Deco City Cats was a regular event on the calender for many breeders and organisers always tried to keep it close to Hawke's Bay.

"It's great chance for a lot of the breeders to get together and have a yarn. It's at the same time every year and it's always very successful."
