One visitor to this year's Hawke's Bay Home and Garden Show has unwittingly won a new bathroom.

Event organiser Daniel Joll said the winner of the $5000 bathroom package would be announced on MoreFM's breakfast show this morning, with anybody who entered their details at the AW Holder display in the draw.

Mr Joll said he was "really pleased" with crowd numbers at this year's three-day show, which is sponsored by Hawke's Bay Today.

"There's been a little bit of a pick-up in the Bay. We're starting to see a bit more confidence in the consumers coming through.

"There was a nice mix of outdoor displays. It was a great way for people with a building project to get ideas."

The event saw more than 180 exhibitors set up at McLean Park, including kitchen, bathroom, flooring, landscaping and spa pool stalls.

AW Holder Plumbing Plus company director Mark Holder said the bathroom prize would feature a new shower, toilet, vanity, shelves, tapware and $1000 installation fee.

"We're pretty flexible - we can customise it to the winner's requirements."
