Three 17-year old males have been arrested following an aggravated robbery at Z Kennedy Rd, Napier yesterday morning.
They will appear in the Hastings District Court this week.
Detective Sergeant Darren Pritchard said three armed offenders entered the store at 6am yesterday morning, where demands were made of the attendant before the they left with a small amount of property.
The attendant was left shaken from this incident and was given Victim Support assistance, but was not injured.
A black Nike sports bag containing items of interest is believed to have been dumped somewhere between the petrol station and the suburb of Marewa.
Z Energy Limited External Communications Manager, Sheena Thomas said the attendant followed her training by activating the alarm quickly and getting herself to a safe place. "She was not hurt, but is understandably shaken by incident."
"Z holds hardly any cash on site, so these robbers have gone through a lot of trouble and put their whole future at risk for the sake of some packs of chewing gum and chips."
Police are asking residents in this area to come forward if they have located this bag or have any information relating to the robbery.
