Another balmy week is on the cards for Hawke's Bay, as children shuffle back into their classrooms after the school holidays.
Following nearly a constant week of sunshine, MetService meteorologist James Millward said the start of this week would be "nice and fine" as a weak feature moves up the North Island.
"It will be a bit more settled this week," Mr Millward said. "As the week goes on, Wednesday and Thursday will be even better".
A fine morning with some light winds was forecast for Monday, followed by some showers developing in the afternoon, and a high of 22C in Hastings, 19C in Central Hawke's Bay, and 18C in Wairoa.
Tuesday was expected to be similar, with a few showers gradually clearing and fine spells increasing. Southerlies would be easing, with a high of 17C.
