It may have been a disappointing campaign, but the Hawke's Bay Magpies are hoping to end their season with a bang this weekend.
Tickets are still available for the Magpies clash with Manawatu, with some stand tickets up for grabs for $7.50.
The Magpies were on the wrong end of a 34-7 hiding from Northland in Whangarei last week while the Turbos were narrowly beaten by Counties Manukau 29-24 at Palmerston North's Central Energy Trust Arena in their last outing.
Both sides will be out to finish strong, and commercial manager Jay Campbell is calling for the community to get behind the Magpies for the "Pack the Park" initiative.
Mr Campbell is confident of a big turnout.
"We have had a great response so far with our crowd already exceeding what we had for the Taranaki game and I think we will be out in force come Sunday."
Magpies fans will have the chance to get up close and personal with the players today.
This afternoon at the Napier Soundshell the team will catch up with their supporters from 10.30am until 12pm to answer questions, have photos and sign autographs.
There will also be poster giveaways, games on the lawn, face painting and a range of spot prizes including signed rugby balls, game tickets, movie vouchers and Pita Pit vouchers.
Sunday's clash, which is for the K R Tremain Trophy, will kick off at 4.35pm at McLean Park after the curtain-raiser between the Hawke's Bay Ross Shield and Wai Bush under-13 sides at 2.30pm.
