It is interesting that although this new grandstand at Rugby Park is “shovel-ready”, it has a forecast completion time of 14 months — as opposed to four months for the rebuild in 1965.
It seems a bit concerning that although plans were completed and supposedly approved, given the funds have
been allocated, there is a warning of “possible tweaks”. Supposedly these would then have to be submitted and approved — is this the reason for the extra 10 months?
It would be very reassuring to have a project planned, costed and approved, and then just commenced and completed, on time and within budgeted cost.
