Biography

Jane Hastings was appointed Chief Executive Officer of NZME. in May 2014.

Prior to this, Jane was Chief Executive Office of The Radio Network where she transformed the business to deliver annual double digit profit growth. She joined radio from Amalgamated Holdings Limited, where she was General Manager, Entertainment Australia/New Zealand and she spearheaded the largest exhibition business implementing several product and operations innovations to drive profit performance and share growth.

Jane was previously General Manager Group Sales, Marketing and International Business at SKYCITY Entertainment Group Limited and also spent over eight years in executive roles in Asia, including Managing Director at Tequila Asia - the leading Integrated Marketing agency. She also established a Tokyo office as Managing Director of Draftworldwide Japan focused on delivering brand, data and digital solutions to global clients.

During her time in Asia, as Regional Director of Customer Relationship Management at Wunderman Cato Johnson she established the CRM practice for the region. She started in Asia as Director of Communications at ICLP (International Customer Loyalty Programmes) in Hong Kong consulting to Cathay Pacific on brand and customer management.

Before heading to Asia to consult to Cathay Pacific, Jane held senior marketing and product roles at Air New Zealand. Jane has experience at senior levels as a client, agency leader and now spearheads one of New Zealand's largest multi media businesses NZME giving her a unique view of media from all sides of the equation.
