An electric bicycle seller and a nappy washing service are two of the new exhibitors at the Wanganui Chronicle Home & Lifestyle Show next weekend.
The show is at Jubilee Stadium and will be the sixth annual show - and the biggest ever.
It will have more than 100 stalls and is expected to attract more than 10,000 visitors.
One of the new exhibitors is Peter Asher who will be coming all the way from Paihia to sell his electric bicycles and Segway "personal transporters".
He said his electric bikes were high quality and made in China. They are powered by a 300-watt lithium battery, have a 50km range and take an hour to charge.
They are ideal for people with hip and knee issues, and sell mainly to people middle-aged or older, he said.
He also sells a fat-tyred electric bike with a 500-watt battery "that gives extra edge" for off-road use.
Segways are two-wheeled, electric, self-balancing transporters that people stand to travel on. They have a 30km range and are good for commuting and "any place that's flat".
"What is hot is a mini Segway. You just jump on and away you go," Mr Asher said.
He likes selling a non-polluting method of transport, but is also mad on electric bikes.
"I've got one myself, for getting around."
Also new to the Home Show is Pamela Rees, the sales and marketing manager for new Palmerston North business Nappy Godmother.
It supplies cloth nappies to families, picks them up twice a week and washes and dries them.
The nappies are pre-folded and have a biodegradable bamboo inner that can be flushed down a toilet and is okay in a septic tank.
"The nappies are just as convenient as a disposable to put on - no pins and no folding," Miss Rees said.
They are coded, so families have their own nappies returned to them.
The washing and drying is done in a commercial laundry in Palmerston North, and the service will cover Wanganui and Palmerston North and their districts.
"It's environmentally friendly, and mums are so busy now, with working, gyms and other kids," Miss Rees said.
Admission to next weekend's show costs a gold coin for people aged 18 and over and it is open from 9am to 5pm on Saturday, August 29, then 9am to 4pm on Sunday.
