A strange, apocalyptic crowd of people await visitors to the Rayner Brothers Gallery's latest exhibition.
Andrea du Chatenier's exhibition Hollow Man opened last week and will run until August 9.
The exhibition is a collection of figures made of clay - hence its name - but with glazes in various shades of grey and black.
Some of the figures look like they are made of metal, others of volcanic lava.
Ms du Chatenier said the exhibition was a continuation of the work she'd been doing over the past 18 months.
"I've been testing out new materials and new ways of glazing clay. Clay is an amazing material - it's like paint, you can make anything at all from it."
The pieces include Man From Mururoa, a bare, grimacing face with an hibiscus flower tucked behind its ear, a bust of Darth Vader from Star Wars, called Father, and a cast of eyeless, earless mutants.
Ms du Chatenier admits the collection is "dark, bleak and grotesque".
"But I'd like to think it's not without humour," she said.
