Joy Carter (left) and Philippa Nixon flank Toowoomba Zonta member Deborah Tranter.
Dr Tranter, a former museum director in Queensland, is keen to visit Whanganui Regional Museum on her two-day visit.
She made the trip south from her Tauranga holiday because of Wanganui's sister city connection with the Queensland town of Toowoomba, and because Zonta members make contact with Zonta clubs elsewhere.
She and Wanganui Zonta president Nixon were comparing Zonta activities at the Springvale Garden Centre Cafe yesterday.
Mrs Nixon said Zonta was an international organisation for professional women. Its current international president is Wellington woman Lynn McKenzie, and she and 16 others from New Zealand will be attending a world convention in Orlando, Florida, in June. Photo/Stuart Munro 060214WCSMZonta1
