PAINTINGS EXHIBITION
What: Wanganui Art Society's Tuesday group is holding an Exhibition of Paintings. All work is for sale at reasonable prices.
When: Starts August 6 for entire month. Gallery open Saturdays 10am-3pm, Sundays 1pm-3pm, Mondays and Tuesdays 10am-midday.
Where: Cooks Gallery, behind Wanganui Motors, Ridgway St.

ARTIST OF THE MONTH SHOWING
What: Peter
Shepherd is a highly regarded local artist who creates stunning artworks with wood, copper, iron, jewellery and more. His works are highly sought after.

EXHIBITION
What: Revealed. An exhibition highlighting artworks and stories unravelled during the Sarjeant Gallery's move to its Taup Quay temporary premises.

SEE WHAT I CAN SEE
What: Discovering New Zealand photography. Images from the 2015 book See what I can see: New Zealand Photography for the young and curious, written by Gregory O'Brien, alongside examples from the Sarjeant Gallery's photographic collection.

WANGANUI SMALL BUSINESS FORUM
What: Speaker is Mark Stoneman from Stoneman Financial who will talk on the ins and outs of KiwiSaver, and investment and borrowing for small business. All small business people welcome.

SING 25
What: Wanganui Community Choir celebrates their 25th anniversary with a Celebration of Song, with guest artists Shannon Atkin, Jeanli Bossenkool, The Ukulele Orchestra and the Youth Wanganui Community Choir.

CREATIONS GALLERY 'N GIFTS
What: Five Whanganui artists' creations on display and for sale. An artist is in the gallery each day and one is working in their medium every Saturday.
When: Wednesday-Sunday, 10am-3pm, or other times to suit.

Interaction: Taking registrations in workshops working with Powertex (sculptured items), chalk paint (up-cycling furniture) and felting.

What: Weekly meetings of like-minded women in the art of needlework.
