Children participating in the school holiday programme at Cooks Gallery will have lasting mementos of their experience.
Printmaker Julia Ellery has installed a portable press that is easy for children operate so they can process their own artworks to take home.
The works with forest and bird and cityscape themes
are made into concertina books that are easy to transport and don't need framing.
Graceyn Wylie turned 10 last weekend, and says printmaking is nearly as much "fun as my birthday."
The programme is run by the Wanganui Art Society for a maximum of seven children at each session.
