Another 11 Defence Force houses are for sale at the Waiouru Military Camp.
To date 100 houses have been sold for removal from Waiouru at an average price of $33,000. The homes come up for sale as service personnel move to their own accommodation, leaving the houses surplus to requirements.
The highest price reached for one of the houses was $61,000 for a four-bedroom weatherboard home.
The latest houses for sale and removal are solidly-built wooden homes dating from the 1950s, with two to four bedrooms, and vary in size from 72sq m to 116sq m.
The houses are being marketed by consultants Land Matters on behalf of the NZ Defence Force.
