Gonville house extensively damaged by fire, cause being investigated

Fire investigators are looking into the cause of house fire in Gonville on Tuesday evening.

Emergency services were alerted to the Smithfield Rd address just before 7pm.

Two fire engines from Whanganui attended, but the house was extensively damaged before crews could control the blaze. No one was injured.

Fire investigators are at the address on Wednesday morning to determine the cause of the fire.
