Another Whanganui petrol station has been burgled.
Police responded to a report of a burglary at Challenge on Cross St in Castlecliff at about 2.20am yesterday. The service station was closed at the time and no staff were on duty.
Nothing was taken.
Police said five people were seen running from the service station and one person has been helping police with inquiries.
It's the fourth Whanganui service-station robbery in the past month.
Station manager Saia Sisilau said the front door had been broken and an attempt had been made to get into the cigarette cabinet.
Police are asking anyone who saw suspicious activity on Cross St overnight or who has any information to contact Whanganui police on 06 349 0600.
If people wish to remain anonymous they can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
