A man facing 26 sex charges against children appeared in Whanganui District Court yesterday .
Daniel Bell, a 37-year-old builder from Hastings, was charged with 11 counts of rape, 12 of indecent assault, one unlawful sexual connection and two of performing indecent acts.
There were five female victims, all under 12 at the time of the alleged offending, which occurred between 2001-2009.
Some of the offending is said to have occurred in Wanganui, and some in Napier. Judge David Cameron transferred Bell's bail application to Napier District Court. It is unclear where the case will go to, or whether it will be split between the two courts.
