The Whanganui man who gave a guy a blood nose for selling his brother a dead dog has been sentenced.
Tyson Lewis Williams was ordered 50 hours community service for one charge of common assault when he appeared in the Whanganui District Court on Thursday.
A police summary of facts said on May 30, Williams spotted the victim on the side of the road, approached him and yelled "you sold my brother a dead dog".

"[Williams] punched him in the nose and said 'it won't be so soft the next time'."
Williams' lawyer Stephanie Burlace said while the punch was relatively serious, he was only 21 years old.
"This is his first violent offence and he has had a good three year break."
Judge Phillip Cooper said it looked like a piece of stupid violence.
"There was a disagreement over a dead dog and Williams crossed the street to punch him in the face and leave him with a bleeding nose."
Judge Cooper said because Williams was not in a position to pay a fine and pleaded guilty, community service seemed appropriate.
