A drink-driver nearly caused a crash in March - with a police car driving under flashing lights.
Mary Ceclia Whanarere was driving with more than twice the legal limit of alcohol on her breath when she pulled out in front of the police car on Victoria Ave, on March 29.
Whanarere narrowly missed causing a crash, police prosecutor Sergeant Stephen Butler said on Tuesday.
She was in the Whanganui District Court, where she pleaded guilty to driving with excess breath alcohol and driving while disqualified.
After the incident, she blew an evidential breath test of 862mcg. The legal limit is 400mcg.
