Wanganui firefighters were kept busy yesterday with callouts for fires, petrol spills, crashes, and a girl who climbed on top of the Splash Centre hydroslide
A small petrol spill from a mechanical fault at the Aramoho shopping centre had firefighters out working on a clean-up at 1.30pm.
Not long after there was a small fire above Dalgleish Architects on Guyton St near the intersection with Victoria Ave.
Station officer Jes Sorensen said the 1.56pm fire was sparked in the roof when an electrical light fitting short-circuited. Extinguishers were used to put out the flames.
Earlier in the day, emergency services attended an accident where a car drove into a power plinth on Ingestre St.
