Shot putting legend Valerie Adams was in Rotorua this morning inspiring hundreds of school kids to stay active.
Adams, whose last win was the Commonwealth Games gold, is touring the country with New Zealand Post. she is an ambassador for New Zealand Post and supports ActivePost, which is its
Health and Wellness community programme.
They took over the Village Green this morning. There will be a chance of members of the public to meet Valerie at the Rotorua Central PostShop on Tutanekai St from 1 to 2pm.
The tour is in conjunction with Athletics New Zealand. Together with coaches and schools they set up 10 stations of activities.
