Three Rotorua flatmates who allegedly assaulted another flatmate for not cleaning the kitchen have been remanded without plea to allow police more time to get information to their lawyers.
Diane Cherie Dawson, 27, Christopher Charles Feisst, 20, and Paul William Bradley McGregor, 20, appeared before Rotorua District Court Judge Maree
McKenzie yesterday for a hearing to determine if there was enough evidence to go to trial. Another man, Michael Anstiss, 21, is to appear in the Hamilton District Court for sentencing at a later date after pleading guilty to one charge of assault.
Police allege the four flatmates assaulted another on December 6 last year, dragging him from his bedroom and trying to force him to clean up the room by locking him in the kitchen, then forced him into a car.
for McGregor, Arama Ngapo for Feisst and Trudy Talbot for Dawson, requested more facts from police so the case could proceed.
Judge McKenzie remanded the trio on bail without plea to reappear in court on March 31 for a status hearing.
