A NIGHT trail running event happening tomorrow in the Redwoods is a chance to
see and hear the forest, in a new light, according to Aimee Gregory, registration
manager for Event Promotions.

"Anyone can do the challenge as it's a run/walk and it will be as competitive as they want to make it, and it's the chance to get out and try something new in a safe, controlled environment."

The Redwoods are stunning at night, especially with the silver ferns glowing in the blackness.

Headlamps are compulsory as competitors run or walk their way around the 7.5km course on a mixture of single trail and forestry roads.

Music and lights will greet people at the finish areas and hot food and coffee will be available.
